Apple Wireless System Engineering team is looking for an engineer to work on radiated system characterization across different cellular technologies for Apple’s wireless products.
Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience with antenna design/tests, antenna and wave propagation, anechoic chambers, and radiation performance evaluation like TRP & TIS. Working experience with different lab equipment: network analyzers, signal generators, signal analyzers, call boxes (i.e., CMW/ UXM/ 8960), channel emulators, etc. Experience with different wireless communication systems such as GSM/GPRS/EDGE/LTE, 5G mmWave, etc. including the corresponding system level specifications (e.g., ETSI 51.010, 51.05…) is a plus. Experience with carrier/ industry conformance radiated performance requirements like 3GPP, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, etc. Excellent communication skills required, both written & verbal. Programming skills in C, C++ would be a plus. Description Description - Validating OTA Cellular test cases for different carrier/industry conformance requirements in certification test setups.
- Translating industry conformance/ regulatory/ carrier specification requirements into test cases. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests.
- Define/execute validation plan for custom SW features
- Debugging marginal/failure tests with cross-functional teams like RFHW /Antenna/ Product Design/EE/etc. and drive design changes to address issues
- Maintain test setups via periodic checks, calibration, etc.
- Drive planning/executing on final radiated certification testing at 3rd party test labs for PTCRB/CTIA testing.
