Change.org is searching for a Sr Brand & Content Specialist to advance Change.org’s brand and build the capacity of our wider Marketing & Communications team to do the same.

In this role, you’ll play a key role in evolving our global brand by helping establish how it should show up in the world, and stewarding how this new strategy is implemented across our owned channels. This effort will see you collaborating with staff across media and PR, marketing insights, and growth marketing with the goal of bringing to life inspiring brand campaigns that build awareness and understanding of Change.org’s work in empowering anyone to create the change they want to see in the world.
Beyond strategic direction, you’ll roll up your sleeves, concepting creative campaign ideas and executing against them with a small but mighty team of content strategists, designers and external agencies. The content you’ll create will be diverse. They could be an original media series, impactful story roundups, exclusive data aggregation editorials, self-serve user resources, and wherever else your creativity takes you. You may even dabble in putting together pitch decks for partners and influencers to bring a brand collaboration idea to life.
Brand Strategy & Stewardship
Be a strong champion for our brand strategy as part of the Brand & Content team, ensuring our teams maintain a consistent brand experience across all touch points.
Contribute to a brand-first culture in the Marketing & Communications team by helping others connect the dots on how their work relates to the overall narrative.
Unearth timely powerful cultural insights that can inform ongoing brand efforts.
Embed our brand philosophy by facilitating periodic learning labs for our teams.
Review and respond to requests that make use of our brand, internally and externally.
Maintain a design library of materials, icons, logos, colors, typefaces, and guidelines.
Research, measure, and report on brand health and brand campaign performance.
Content Direction & Production
Create a content roadmap for ongoing impactful brand moments and offerings.
Produce unique brand and content marketing campaigns tailored to this roadmap, working with our wider Marketing & Communications team to make them happen. This includes drafting inspiring briefs for teams and agency partners to act on.
Gain a deep understanding of our target audiences and grow a content library that aligns with their goals and needs, acting as our organization’s audience expert.
Secure brand collaborations with influencers and creators where necessary.
Write, review, and edit copy across different assets, including but not limited to: blogs, decks, infographics, scripts, & landing pages to keep content brand-aligned.
Establish, edit, and improve existing content templates reinforcing quality standards.
Use foresight to translate what’s happening on our platform with culture at large.
Partner with external producers and designers to create powerful creative assets.
Evaluate our team’s content creative production process and improve it.
Team Collaboration
Coordinate with channel leads to identify best formats for content deliverables.
Participate in ideas brainstorms with the wider Marketing & Communications team when needed, bringing forward ideas that will best meet the needs of our audiences.
Maintain a network of creative professionals who want to help us in our efforts.
Experience and skills we’re looking for:
6-8 years experience shaping the narratives of globally recognized brands.
Fluent in primary and secondary research practices, as well as multiple creative strategy disciplines such as innovation, comms, digital, brand positioning, and more.
Deep experience and knowledge of bringing a brand to life through a range of channels, from blogs and social media, to mediaPR, and events and partnerships.
Have a love for understanding and championing an audience’s goals and needs.
Data-driven when it comes to executing on marketing campaign development.
Ability to provide creative and practical solutions to meet content production needs.
Inspired by news, pop culture, and current affairs relevant to our audiences.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt to global trends.
Understands how content can boost organic and paid search optimization efforts.
Experience with large audience digital products.
Experience in multi-countries marketing programs.

This is a full time role based in the United States. We’re currently able to support employees based in the following US locations: AZ, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, MD, MA, MO, NV, NJ, NY, NC, OR, PA, RI, TX, UT, VA, WA, DC, and WI.
Change.org is a global company, and salaries are adjusted for cost of labor in each location. The annual salary of a Senior Brand & Content Specialist is $124,000 in San Francisco/New York; $117,500 in Austin, Boston, LA, Seattle, DC; and $105,000 in all other US locations.
Benefits and perks also vary based on location. We typically offer a fully remote workforce, 100% employer-paid health plan options, life insurance, unlimited PTO, and 18 weeks of parental leave.
