What You’ll Do
Coordinate the timeliness, accuracy and completeness of period end close activities for inventory and related inventory reserves, including journal entries, reconciliations and roll-forwards in accordance with reporting deadlines
Oversee accurate and timely recording of inventory transactions
Perform regular reconciliations of inventory accounts and resolve any discrepancies
Perform regular cutoff procedures of inventory to ensure accuracy and completeness
Monitor inventory valuation to ensure accuracy and completeness
Collaborate with the operations team to improve our inventory control processes
Prepare and analyze inventory-related financial reports, including cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory turnover
Prepare and review inventory reserve analysis on a monthly basis
Assist in the development and implementation of inventory policies and procedures
Work with external auditors during inventory audits
Provide support for ad hoc projects related to inventory management and financial analysis
You
Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Have 2-4 years of experience in inventory accounting or related field
Possess a strong understanding of inventory valuation methods (e.g., FIFO, LIFO, weighted average)
Are proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems
Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Are detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities
Have the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
Have strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
Nice to Have
CPA or pursuing CPA certification
Experience with NetSuite (or similar large ERP system)
Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS as they relate to inventory accounting

Salary Range Information
Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $93,000 - $159,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
