Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Expertise with software engineering best-practices, able to define the architecture of complex programs Expertise with tool development, using programming languages such as C, C++, Python, Swift, Objective-C Creative & effective problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong written and verbal communication skills Background in software security, OS security internals including kernel and userspace Description Description Our team focuses on securing Apple products, from microarchitecture to applications such as Safari, Mail or Messages. Evaluating the security of iOS and macOS kernels, boot ROMs, firmware and hardware are all included in the scope of the team.
Working alongside a wide variety of teams and vendors, your influence will be felt throughout Apple's products such as the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV.
As a member of the team, your main responsibility will be to design and to develop cutting-edge tools for offensive security activities (vulnerability research, exploits analysis, etc.). This position requires strong technical skills and a passion to develop innovative technologies.

This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
