This team is driving demand for Autodesk solutions in the marketplace through actionable industry thought leadership and strategic development programs that make our technology a unique fit for industry challenges.Position OverviewThe Senior Business Development Executive (BDE) is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly works with large manufacturing customers and their ecosystem consisting of manufacturing owners, engineering service and equipment / subsystem providers, subcontractors, trade associations and their supply chain.The work of a BDE falls into two broad categories, "fueling growth" with our largest named accounts through industry expertise and "scaling growth" through business programs across industry sectors. You will influence the decision makers at our largest clients and with the owners of projects and puts Autodesk in the middle of our customers' supply chains, positively affecting named accounts, mid-market, and territory clients.You will report to the Senior Manager, Global Business Development D&M & Automotive.The location is remote anywhere in the United States.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new growth opportunities and markets for Autodesk for the focus sub-industriesInfluence customers' business initiatives and decision-makers through industry expertiseDevelop relationships with executive-level / senior-level customers and other target personasTranslate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique value for AutodeskPerform as the trusted advisor on "Digital Transformation" of industry processes and represent Autodesk, Autodesk technology, and Autodesk interests with customers, industry associations, Autodesk events, and conferencesDevelop ecosystem strategic programs to influence the customers of our customers, their supply chains and the wider ecosystemAssist Autodesk customer teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with our customers, work with sales and technical sales teams, Autodesk Consulting and customer success managers on identifying and qualifying opportunitiesResponsibility for developing repeatable plays and insights to the Named Account and Territory sales teamsPartner with Autodesk Industry Strategy, Product teams and Government Affairs teams and provides valuable information for mid and long-term strategyEngage with our most strategic and influential customers to build relationships, credibility and influence senior customer decision makers, usually within the C-SuiteCollaborate with Autodesk teams, customers, their supply chain and other ecosystem players to grow Autodesk footprintLead Global Business Development's Programs within the manufacturing sub-industry ecosystem of focusRepresent Autodesk in industry and trade associations and events and be the voice of customer and industry internally at AutodeskMinimum Qualifications10+ years' experience working in a high growth manufacturing sub-industry (ex: semiconductor) in capital projects and sales or business development experienceExcellent understanding of the manufacturing facility lifecycle from design to operations and that of technology trends in the Manufactring & AECO industryKnowledge of typical customer pain points associated with the industry associated technology solutionsExperienced with and able to present digital transformation and platform use casesExperienced in establishing relationship with prospects at multiple levels of a client organization, including C levelThe Ideal CandidateBusiness Development: Guide areas of business growth at all levels from our customers to their eco-systems, their industries, and global presenceIndustry Knowledge: Knowledge of an organization's industry group, economic and technology, challenges, regulatory considerations, and trendsettersInnovation: Develops new ideas, technology and initiatives that improve an organization's performanceInfluencing: Ability to inspire through knowledge of strategies; help in decisions of Executive personas within an organizationLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $148,200 and $239,800. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
