Job Requisition ID #24WD76432 Responsibilities: Develop and design software/manufactured products. Combine artistic talent with research on product use, marketing, and materials to create the most functional and appealing product design. Work on experience visions, strategic frameworks, and other models to guide creation of cohesive and scalable customer experiences for Fusion, our manufacturing platform. Participate in defining and driving Product Design & Manufacturing strategic direction from a user experience perspective. Serve as a resource to product and executive management regarding existing user experience, with a grasp of future possibilities. Act as a leader in the Autodesk design community, evangelizing design decisions, frameworks, and innovations. Maintain relationships with other product groups, technical architects, and experience architects across the company to ensure common strategy across industry platforms. Create and communicate experience visions that make experience possibilities tangible, along with conceptual models and metaphors, interaction techniques, and interoperability across company platforms. Create and effectively present to product and executive leadership. Engage with designers to realize strategic direction, including collaborating on detailed architecture decisions, attending design reviews, and working with the application during development to provide feedback. Maintain active contact with customers through site visits, interviews, and user conferences. Partner with researchers to capture industry lifecycles and identify needs and pain points for future opportunities. (May) lead user research, facilitate data analysis and guide its translation into the design of new products and upcoming releases. (May) produce and deliver presentations to product teams and management of research results. Monitor trends and the potential impact of new technologies on the user experience. Maintain familiarity with design directions and innovations in competing products. Track product design developments across the company through regular contact with design teams for other product lines.  Telecommuting is permitted.  Minimum Requirements:  Master’s degree in Industrial Design, Industrial Engineering, Human Computer Interaction or related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in a product/UX design-related occupation.  Telecommuting is permitted.  Skill Requirements:  Position requires at least 5 years of experience in each of the following skills:  1) Experience presenting design goals, process, and vision to executive stakeholders along with the ability to communicate at a level appropriate to the audience (customers, staff, peers, and executive management) 2) Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new & complex assignments. 3) Excellent facilitation, negotiation, and consensus building abilities with cross-functional team members focused from problem identification to visioning and solutioning 4) Ability to drive and articulate a design vision that aligns to customer and business priorities 5) Excellence creating high-level user experience flows and frameworks using design softwares like Figma, Sketch and equivalent  Position requires at least 3 years of experience in each of the following skills: 6) Participate in defining and driving strategic direction & frameworks from a user experience perspective. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $165,500 - $220,000/year. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
