SummaryThe Director of Creative Operations will be responsible for setting the vision and strategy for the creative operations function for the organization, ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of creative initiatives and projects that align with our overall business objectives. This role will work closely with the Senior Director of Creative and Brand Management and other department heads by establishing and implementing an ecosystem of resources, processes, tools, and metrics that support our current and future state. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing a culture that values operational excellence, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvements to ensure the consistency and quality of the Workiva brand at every touchpoint. What You’ll DoWorkflow Optimization, Collaboration, and Communication:Govern and support the operational needs, requirements, and requests of the creative teams to drive efficient and excellent content creationIdentify best practices and implement standards to ensure consistency across the creative organization and improve the impact of their effortsCreate, optimize, and share process documentation across teams with the ability to pivot due to changing workflow demands, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met and desired outcomes are achievedWork with Creative, Content, and Digital Leadership and Marketing Operations to ensure processes run efficiently and can scaleIdentify process gaps, make recommendations, and manage significant process improvement initiatives from start to completionScale global impact strategies by implementing guidelines, creating shareable toolkits and templates, and fostering strong relationships within the global teamProject Management, Budgeting, and Cost Control:Drive effective knowledge sharing and ways of working across multiple stakeholders, teams, and agencies to support event-related initiatives such as our user conference or commercial kickoffsEstablish and govern an outsourcing strategy for our agency/vendor partners, including evaluations, selection, engagement, scoping, oversight, management, and performance reviewsEffectively manage daily projects and the workload of the Creative team through adept delegation and prioritization, which involves adjusting assignments, resourcing, and deadlines as necessaryCoordinate with Marketing team leads to align priorities, assign resources, and meet deadlinesCoordinate and facilitate team meetingsMonitor and champion creative consistency across all channels Oversee and coordinate creative production and expedite creative output and continuityWork closely with and report to the Senior Director of Creative on project flow and provide updates on any obstacles Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of asset management, translations, and available resources In conjunction with Procurement, establish statements of work (SOWs) and align budgetsResource Allocation and Agency Management:Responsible for allocating resources, such as personnel, equipment, and software, to various projectsDevelop and monitor an efficient outsourcing plan, identifying when to engage agency supportManage agency relationships and ensure they function as an extension of the teamPerformance Tracking and Reporting: Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics with department leadership and guide the organization toward achieving targetsDevelop and implement long-term creative strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of campaigns and our design system Gather, analyze, and report data to provide brand performance analysis, success measurements, and optimization opportunitiesCollaborate with Creative, Production, Demand Generation, Marketing Operations, and other teams to develop tools and processes that support data management, reporting, and development of actionable insights.Establish a consistent internal communication strategy to ensure regular updates for teams and leadership.What You’ll NeedMinimum Qualifications:Experience10+ years of marketing experience, with an emphasis on creative operations and project managementEducation:Bachelor's DegreePreferred Qualifications:Minimum 5 years of direct people management experience preferred, including supervisor experience of managers SaaS company experience preferredExperience building processes for brand design, content creation, presentations, photos, and videos.Proven success in defining, launching, and governing scalable solutions that support Creative and Production operations.Ability to make informed decisions based on data analysis and drive motions to support performance metric efforts.A strong understanding of creative processes, design principles, and industry trends, and the ability to speak the technical design languageExperience using Agile frameworks within Creative and Marketing teams preferredKnowledge of graphic design, copywriting, video production, and other creative disciplinesAbility to influence and guide cross-functional teams to drive tasks and projects to completion.Highly proactive with a keen ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholdersEmbrace ambiguity, enjoy problem-solving, identify necessary actions, and follow through accordingly.Familiarity with project management
