We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success. Data Center Customer Operations Engineer - Career Transition ProgramJob Summary:Conducts testing and basic installations, escalating issues as the need arises.ResponsibilitiesInstallationsInstalls ladder racks and fiber racewaysBuilds/Installs cagesInstalls cable management/support systems to include vertical wire managers, horizontal wire managers, and patch panelsPerforms intra-cage and infrastructure installationsInstalls and grounds cabinets and two-post racksTesting/TroubleshootingConducts carrier circuit testingCross ConnectsInstalls/Tests/Modifies cross connects per SOPs and ensures proper cable management of: coax, fiber, twisted pair copper, and intra-building cross connectsDocumentation/ReportingMaintains accurate notes and records of activity fulfillment in ticketing systemProjectsSupports fulfillment of projects with direction from senior staffTrainingCompletes all assigned training in a timely mannerCustomer ManagementSupports customer satisfaction through timely and detailed ordersQualificationsHigher NITEC / Diploma in an IT / Engineering fieldInterest to transition to the data centre industryEquinix is an equal opportunity employer.
