Cloud Software Engineer - PrintOSDescription -Member of cloud software team that is part of the Industrial Software Solutions organization responsible for PrintOS.A general technical expertise in cloud-based IT development/engineering, supporting cloud development, delivery, and support including:·          Managing AWS cloud instances and understanding/developing/releasing new cloud capabilities in support of new functionality, both customer-facing and internally-focused·          Managing build/test/deployment of very large-scale systems, bridging between developers and live stacks·          Actively troubleshoot issues that arise during testing and production, catching problems and solving issues before launch in tools and infrastructure·          Owning, learning, and deploying SW in support of customer-facing applications·          Update process and designing new processes to for continuous improvement of large-scale deployments·          Automate operational processes as needed·          Help establish DevOps best practices·          Actively work to reduce system costs·          Work with open source technologies, helping to ensure robustness and secureness of said technologies·          Actively work with CI/CD, GIT and other component parts of the build and deployment system·          Offer support where necessary·          Stay current with industry trends and look for new ways to improve the business, business processes, tools, and customer experience·          Creating and implementing systems software to enable productivity enhancements for both development of software and release of software onto cloud stacks·          Analyzing data to improve existing software systems and improving cost structure of the lab software systems·          Improving productivity in the workplace Skill set requirements·          Leading skills with AWS cloud stack·          Strong communicator who people want to work with – must be thought of as the ultimate collaborator·          Solid team player·          Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures and AWS·          Strong experience with databases such as MySQL, Redshift, Elasticsearch, Mongo, and others·          Strong knowledge of JavaScript, GIT·          Agile practitionerEducation & Experience Recommended• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.• Typically has 4-7 years of work experience, preferably in software development, information technology, engineering environment, or a related field or an advanced degree with 3-5 years of work experience.HP occasionally offers work authorization sponsorship for critical need roles. However, this opportunity currently does not offer work authorization sponsorship. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $102,000-135,600. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
