This is a hands-on, highly visible role that involves collaboration with multiple team members across the company and with partners. You can think of it as part developer, part evangelist, with a touch of education.ResponsibilitiesCommunity EngagementBuild and nurture a growing developer community around WCP through forums, events, and online platformsAct as a liaison between developers and internal teams, representing the product to gain adoption of newly released technologyContent CreationDevelop high-quality technical content, including tutorials, sample code, and videos, to assist developers in leveraging the capabilities of our productCreate and deliver engaging presentations and demos for events, webinars, and conferencesBuild new Extend and Integration applications and maintain the current App CatalogAdvocacy and EvangelismAdvocate externally, representing the platform at conferences, meetups, and other industry eventsCollaborate with internal teams to ensure the developer perspective is considered in product development and improvementsEducation and TrainingConduct workshops, training sessions, and live-coding webinars to educate developers on standard methodologies, new features, and updates related to Workday Cloud PlatformDevelop and deliver educational materials to empower developers in building valuable applications for their businessFeedback LoopEstablish and maintain a robust feedback loop with customer and partner developers, ensuring their insights and experiences contribute to continuous improvement of our platformCollaborate with product teams to prioritize and address developer feedbackAbout YouBasic Qualifications5+ years of developer advocacy, partner/sales engineering, software engineering, product management, or related experience4+ building solutions that consume or produce web services (REST & SOAP, JSON & XML, etc.)3+ in storytelling and crafting compelling content e.g. written content, conference talks, leading workshops, live streaming or recording videos, and participating in community eventsOther QualificationsStrong analytical skills, able to explore and research ambiguous problem spaces and translate customer needs into actionable, meaningful units of workExcellent technical, organizational, collaboration and communication skills; can deliver content to both developer and executive audiencesFamiliarity with GitHub or other version control softwareWorkday Extend / Integrations experienceExcellent teaching or mentoring skillsExperience crafting, recording and editing video using Camtasia, SnagIt or a similar toolExperience configuring and/or implementing Workday is highly desired for this roleExperience building Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solutions in a product management, engineering, or consultative capacityExperience in the HCM or Financials domainsWorkday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
