eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 2 in San Jose, CAJob Duties: Work with product and design teams to build highly available and reliable software systems and software applications. Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance for request/response flows. Focus on completeness, correctness, and freshness for data pipelines. Monitor the health of domain ecosystems using observability tools. Investigate, remediate, and escalate production issues as needed. Develop and implement strategic plans for mitigating infrastructure and software issues. Develop, test, and maintain tools to monitor and improve customer experience, as well as assist in implementing reliability patterns for the scalability and robustness of the applications.Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field.Special Skill Requirements:1.    Programming Languages: Java, Python, and JavaScript2.    REST API Design and Implementation3.    Data Structures and Algorithms4.    Distributed Systems 5.    Microservices and Containerization6.    Cloud Computing7.    UI Design Software and UX/UI Principles (Prototyping and Wireframing)8.    Linux Systems and Networking 9.    Knowledge of medium to large-scale infrastructure systems.Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.Base salary:  $135,283-176,550 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
