eBay, Inc. seeks Data Science - Analyst 2 in Bellevue, WAJob Duties: Aggregate and analyze large data sets using descriptive and inferential statistical methods and regression testing to transform data into strategic insights for product growth opportunities, technology initiatives, and its impact on eBay’s ecosystem. Work with product teams on answering complex and unstructured business problems, and providing structured, hypothesis-driven, and data-supported practical solutions. Build prototype models and research state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms, optimization, natural language processing, and text mining for application with eBay’s marketplace platforms. Assist with the customization and enhancement of existing analytic tools, techniques, and methodologies based on business requirements. Develop tracking and reporting systems to determine the effectiveness of models, rules, and other risk assessment enterprise software. Design interactive dashboards and other reports to make data readily available to stakeholders. Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Analytics, or a closely related field.Special Skill Requirements:1. Financial modeling, optimal budget allocation, and ROI calculation2. Time series forecasting techniques: ARIMA, BSTS, Exponential Smoothing 3. Data manipulation using Big Data tools including Hadoop and Spark with both relational and non-relational databases. 4. Deep learning algorithms including model diagnostics, validation, and automated hyper parameter tuning. 5. Experimental design including A/B testing, Power analysis, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, and causal inference. 6. Programming languages including R and Python with statistical packages (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, Imbalanced-learn, Statsmodels). 7. Machine Learning Operations (MLOps) including data versioning, pipeline design, model versioning, model validation, model retraining on platforms. 8. Clustering methods: Naïve Bayes 9. Statistical analysis including statistical distributions, fixed effect & random effects, and simulation methods. Experience can be gained through academic coursework, scholastic achievement, or work experience.Base salary: $131,000 – 176,550 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
