About the role: We are looking for a HR consultant/contractor to fill in during the parental leave of our full time employee. The duties of this role span three disciplines, People Operations, Compensation, and Benefits.  While we don’t expect you to be an expert in all three areas you will need experience with the HRIS, ADP and the compensation database, Radford. Having some experience with an employee onboarding process is helpful but is also teachable.  Ideally, we’re looking for a full time (remote is ok) contractor that can start early March 2024 and work thru September 2024. Although we are looking for an experienced Total Rewards contractor, even if you don't have all of the experience listed below, we encourage you to apply. Benefits   Employee Onboarding: Facilitating the pre-employment process and entering new hire and employee status changes into ADP, initiating new hire background checks and verifying I-9s Employee Files: Create and maintain employee personnel, medical, and benefit e-files; maintain I-9 files in accordance with company policies and employment law regulations. Manage Leaves: and oversee the entire workflow of the US leave of absence and maternity/paternity programs. This includes serving as the initial employee contact.  Answer Benefits Questions: Help support benefits-related email communication, ensuring effective and timely responses to employee queries regarding benefits programs including providing explanations, interpretations and/or guidance to employees regarding the administrative activities related to the benefit programs, policies, and procedures and escalate as needed. Benefits Plan Maintenance : Ensure proper implementation, communication, compliance, and administration of the US and UK health and welfare benefits programs during Sr. Benefits Manager absence. The main programs include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). Employee Offboarding: Support administration of employee offboarding People Ops Employee changes : Coordinate and execute employee changes (transfers, promotions etc..) within ADP, ensuring 100% accuracy.  Tech Stack : Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to our HR tech stack (ADP, Bonusly, Lattice, Pingboard, etc.) Employee Development : Align employee development with Lattice Tracks and help support the performance review process. Document Handling : Facilitate employee handbook acknowledgment (as needed), the signing of company documents by new hires, and handling verification of employment (VOE) letters and calls.  Compensation  Assist with internal comp analysis  Assist with Quarterly bonus prep, calculations, and delivery Assist with preparing quarterly grants (stock options) for board approval and grant forecasting Assist with annual compensation increases Obtaining, evaluating, and providing Radford analysis Assisting with Radford (compensation survey) annual submission Personal information that you submit will be used by Demandbase for recruiting and other business purposes.
