This internship is a part of a 10-week summer internship program opportunity. This role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.
What You’ll Do:
Archer is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Industrial Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing team. This internship provides a hands-on opportunity to gain practical experience in Industrial Engineering. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced team to contribute to the design or production of our aircraft.
Collaborate with the manufacturing team to identify areas for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost reduction
Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and provide insights for process optimization
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, logistics, and quality assurance, to achieve production goals and resolve any manufacturing-related issues
Prepare and present materials in support of readiness reviews
Interface with engineers, maintainers, technicians, and program management to accomplish objectives safely and efficiently
What You Need:
Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Aerospace or Industrial Engineering at an accredited university, preferably a Junior going in to your Senior year
Experience with time study analysis
Exposure to defining time standards
Experience with 3D modeling in a production line
Excellent grasp of engineering fundamentals
Results focused
Aligned with Archer’s core values
Bonus Qualifications:
Previous coursework or experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering or related fields
Familiarity with manufacturing tools, equipment, and software
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with the aviation industry
Ability to relocate to Covington, GA after graduation, if offered a full time position

Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
