We are extending our team and in a search of a Build and Release Engineer (BRE) to improve our development tools and lifecycle. You will enable modularity and component reusability in cross-platform development environment for a large C++ project. This is a hybrid position located in Pune. An you will report to Software Development Manager.ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement engineering solutions for reusable software components and APIsParticipate in porting large C++ projects to new operation systems and platformsTake ownership of the implementation of components for CI/CD and build systems, with high emphasis on quality and sound software engineering practicesParticipate in software design reviews, conduct code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development teamMinimum QualificationsRelevant experience in the areas of Software Build and Release Engineering and DevOpsExcellent programming and computer science abilitiesExposure to large-scale software build, integration, and testing environments (C++ based preferable)4+ years' experience in C++ commercial projectExperience with CMake build toolStrong scripting knowledge using Python and Shell scriptsExperience with Windows, Linux (or MacOS) based software development environmentsStrong troubleshooting and critical thinking skillsAbility to learn large software systems quicklyPreferred QualificationsExperience in porting C++ projects to new Operation Systems or platformsCross-platform C++ coding experienceExcellent C++ debugging skillsExperience with Qt-based C++ projectsExperience with WASM projectsExperience in Android or/and iOSExperience with CI/CD based on Jenkins and Git (GitHub)Proficient in Jenkins pipelines (Groovy scripting, PSL)Experience with DockerExperience with Cloud platforms AWS, Azure#LI-Hybrid#LI-CL1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
