If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:Broadcom Inc has a job opening for a Field Applications Engineer (FAE) in the United States.  The FAE will provide technical support at customers for optical and magnetic encoders across the US.   The FAE’s responsibilities will include:Lead the design-in of Broadcom’s optical and magnetic encoders at customers across the US.Provide technical assistance through all phases of the design cycleWork jointly with R&D and Product Engineering to resolve technical issues during and after design in activities.Provide training for internal and external customers.Determine market trends and growth drivers Broadcom should be targeting in the motion control spaceAssist in developing the go to market strategy with the product line and sales managementQualificationsThe preferred candidate will have a Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering (or higher) and 8+ years experience, in motion control and motor control design. The candidate will also have experience in incremental and absolute encoder designs and applications.  The candidate must have good communication skills, be able to interface with customers and the product division. The candidate must be able to develop and present technical and training materials. The job may require travel within the US averaging 3 days per week. Location can be anywhere in the United States.Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $115,200 - $215,000.OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents.
