A solid background in disaster recovery planning, risk management, and cybersecurity is essential for success in this role.           ResponsibilitiesAs the Senior Disaster Recovery Specialist,Responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive disaster recovery plans for infrastructure components and critical applications to ensure the resilience of our critical systems and operationsLead the development, maintenance, and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure the rapid recovery of critical systems, infrastructure, and dataDemonstrated ability to coordinate complex integrated disaster recovery exercisesCoordinates with various information technology and business groups to identify critical systems and dependencies, and the potential vulnerabilities and risks that could result in catastrophic impactGenerate regular reports on the organization's disaster recovery capabilities and security posture for executive leadership and stakeholdersStay up to date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to disaster recovery and business continuityConduct detailed Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact AnalysisDevelop resilience reports that identify gaps and recommendations from Technology Risk assessment and Business Impact AnalysisMaintains knowledge on the current and emerging developments/trends for IT Disaster Recovery technology and resilience solutionsCollaborate with technical engineering teams to understand the evolving architectures to plan, design and test the resilience solutionsReview and provide recommendations for departments Technology Disaster recovery Plans and Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations PlansDevelop and maintain Business Continuity/ Continuity of Operations Plans for the department and each divisionReview the completeness of technology recovery plans and procedures for critical technology systems and applications for completenessDesign, plan, coordinate and execute technology resilience test/exercise with recovery teams for all critical technology systems and applicationsSupport natural, human-caused, and technology disaster/emergencies during the activations of the Emergency Operations Center/Department Operation CenterQualifications7+ years experienceBachelor's preferredIndustry certification(s) preferredEquinix is committed to ensuring that our employment process is open to all individuals, including those with a disability. If you are a qualified candidate and need assistance or an accommodation, please let us know by completing this form.Equinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
