We are looking for a Social Media Intern based in Austin, TX to start ASAP. This role will start at 20 hours per week and increase to 30+ hours in June. Working hours are flexible but candidate must be able to go into the office on Thursdays.As a Social Media Intern, you should have a passion for storytelling and content creation. You should inject WP Engine’s voice and tone (authentic, casual, vibrant, modern, passionate, intentional) into everything you write and create across different social channels. You stay up-to-date on current events and social trends and aren’t afraid to try (and fail!) new things on social. Reporting to the Director of Content and Social, this person would be an integral part of our Social Marketing Team.The Day to DayCreate and schedule social content for our brand channelsHelp maintain a content calendar by scheduling due dates and tracking content through the editorial processExperiment with new forms of social content for WP EngineHelp report and analyze social posts and campaignsCollaborate with creatives and other writers on projects and campaignsYour Expertise and PassionAny and all design experience (Photoshop, XD, Canva)Experience with editing videosFantastic writing and grammar skillsSSuperb organizational skillsOutstanding communication needs for different social media platformsHourly Compensation$25 per hourAt WP Engine, we strive to have the broadest possible view of diversity, going beyond visible differences to include the background, experiences, skills, and perspectives that make each person unique.
