Reporting directly to the Chief Privacy Officer, your primary focus will be on transactional work, involving the negotiation of contracts and privacy terms with our diverse global customer base. This role requires a sharp legal mind, strong negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of privacy laws and regulations as they apply to cloud services.Key Responsibilities:Contract Negotiation and Management:Support the negotiation of contracts and privacy terms with customers, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Review, draft, and advise on a variety of legal documents including service agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and privacy policies.Privacy Law Compliance:Stay abreast of developments in privacy law, particularly as they pertain to cloud computing and digital services.Collaborate with the Chief Privacy Officer to develop and implement privacy strategies and policies.Legal Advisory:Provide legal advice to various departments on matters related to privacy and data protection.Assist in the resolution of legal disputes or inquiries related to privacy issues.Stakeholder Engagement:Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure that customer contracts align with company policies and legal requirements.Act as a point of contact for customer inquiries related to privacy terms and contracts.Risk Management:Identify and advise on potential legal risks related to privacy and propose mitigation strategies.Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure ongoing adherence to privacy laws and regulations.Qualifications:J.D. or equivalent legal degreeQualified as a lawyer in at least one European jurisdiction with a preference for Germany or the United Kingdom.Minimum of 3 years of experience in privacy law, preferably in a cloud services or technology environment.Strong understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations.Excellent negotiation, communication, and drafting skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to influence and work with diverse stakeholders in a cross-functional capacity.Fluent in English is essential.
