This role will be pivotal in driving the development, implementation, and optimization of our data systems and tools to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency across the organization.ResponsibilitiesThe incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:Leadership and StrategyLead and oversee the data platforms and tools team, setting strategic direction and priorities aligned with the organization’s objectives.Develop and communicate a clear vision for data platform architecture, tools, and technologies.Platform DevelopmentDrive the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust data platforms and tools to support data ingestion, storage, processing, and analysis.Collaborate multi-functionally to identify and prioritize data platform requirements, ensuring alignment with business needs.Technology Stack ManagementEvaluate, select, and implement innovative technologies and tools to enhance data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service level agreements related to data platforms and tools.Data Governance and SecurityEnforcing defined data governance policies ensuring data quality, integrity, and security across platforms.Implement standard methodologies for data privacy and compliance, staying abreast of industry regulations.Team ManagementRecruit, mentor, and develop a successful team of platform engineers and architects, and tool specialists.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team.About YouBasic QualificationsBS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field7+ years experience in a senior leadership role overseeing data engineering, platforms or related areas.Other QualificationsSolid background in data platforms, cloud technologies, data architecture and modeling, ETL/ELT processes, data ingestion methods and processes, data governance, and analytics and data science tools.Solid background in designing, implementing, and optimizing large-scale data platforms and tools (both on-premise and cloud-based).Demonstrated ability to develop and implement critical initiatives and drive organizational change.Excellent leadership, communication, cross-team collaboration and partner management skills.Join us in our mission to harness the power of data to revolutionize our organizational journey and drive meaningful innovation. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Each candidate’s compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things.
