If you already have a Candidate Account, please Sign-In before you apply.Job Description:As a Technical Support Engineer in VMWare by Broadcom SD-WAN, you will take your vastknowledge of Networking technologies and blend it with VMWare by Broadcom SD-WAN to help ourmost elite customers troubleshoot, understand, and conquer their networking challenges. The idealcandidate is expected to have in depth Networking and Security expertise that will assist to supportour customers, design, and implement best practices, knowledge base creation, and technicalescalations.Key Responsibilities:As a Technical Support Engineer, you will be responsible for resolving customer technical issues andsupporting the team and operation. Key strengths for this role would be keen to learn, strongcustomer service and technical problem-solving skills, someone who embraces challenges.You will work closely with other support engineers, sales engineers, and customers to understandcustomer network configurations and problems that they may be facing or answering technicalinquiries about VMWare by Broadcom SD-WAN products.Drive customer satisfaction by expediting the resolution of all service issues by conducting loganalysis, reproduction work and engaging external and internal resources as required. Utilizing yourcommunication and technological skills, including, but not limited to Technical Expertise, AppliedLogic, as well as Time, Queue and Customer management.Leveraging your technical skill set to create knowledge articles for global circulation and use, basedon the issues you have resolved. Work independently utilizing your skill set and knowledge to resolvecomplex queries while providing world class support to our customers. Troubleshoot, research andresolve issues, using labs, logs bundles and knowledge base, peer to peer collaboration and othertools you will learn in this role. Desired Skills and Experience:● Prior experience working in a Support/Technical Assistance Center (TAC) team (8+ yearsdesired)● Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.● Linux troubleshooting skills such as log reading and performance testing highly desired.● Hands on Experience in TCP/IP stack, QoS, L4-L7 proxy devices, HTTP, VoIP or applicationslike WAN optimization devices, server load balancers and/or caching devices preferred.● Expertise in understanding different network topologies and configurations.● Expertise in dynamic routing protocols such as BGP & OSPF.● Debug / troubleshoot the customer’s environment, collect additional information about theproblem and resolve network performance issues.● Quickly assess and understand customers issues and business impact.● Ability to analyze network traffic and analysis of packet captures.● Ability to reproduce customer reported issues in the lab environment, work with developmentand QA to verify and fixes before they are rolled out to our customers.● Experience with JSON, API, and MySQL are desirable.● CCIE or equivalent certification will be an added advantage.● VMWare by Broadcom SDWAN certifications will be an added advantage.In addition to the above, excellent presentation and communications skills combined with thepassion to work in a team environment are key attributes for this role. You will be joining the VMWare by Broadcom SDWAN Support team which is globally spread. Theteam consists of highly competent engineers. This position does require the employee to work fulltime in a Broadcom Corporate office location.Schedule: Monday through Friday, occasional weekend or overnight hours and on-call as requiredAdditional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $91,200 - $152,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
