Job Requisition ID #24WD74601Position OverviewAutodesk Construction Solution is looking for a Software Development Manager, who would provide technical leadership to a newly founded development teams within the ACS Docs team in Autodesk. As a vital part of the Autodesk AEC/Construction initiative, the Docs comprises cloud services, enterprise systems, web application, data processing system and operational tool chain. It is the center of the Autodesk's attempt to revolutionize the construction business via modern technology.You will build and maintain several critical services for ACS, guiding the architecture of platform and services across this ecosystem, and building/managing a development team in India. As Software Development Manager, you will take on a visible role in building the future architecture of Docs. This is an opportunity to make something that directly improve a sizable business in Autodesk. You will report to a Software Development Director and it will be a hybrid work mode.ResponsibilitiesYou will lead the tech staffs in Docs team to strengthen a couple of its critical services for greater performance and scalability and data processing capabilityGuide the technical strategy and roadmap with hands-on leadership in arch and implementationLead the team to design, develop and operate critical components to benefit Docs customers, and other service teams.Guide and align technical strategy across divisions and interdependent teamsManage cross-functional relationships with stakeholders, engineers, and technical partnersBe a technical evangelist across technical and non-technical personnel at all levelsMentor and work with development teamsInspire, motivate, and coach team members to achieve maximum productivity, creativity and efficiencyTranslate customer, business, and technical requirements into deliverables aligned with team member needsMinimum QualificationsMS or equivalent in Computer Science8+ years software development experienceExperience designing and developing scalable, resilient, distributed applications:HTTP-based API designBuild, deploy, and orchestration of containerized workloadsEvent driven systems, message queuesDistributed data stores, caching, and eventual consistencyObservability at scale: monitoring, log aggregationExperience handling high throttle trafficExperience creating data pipeline and storage for multi national online businessCross-platform, native desktop app development (Windows, Mac, Linux)Experience with Agile, XP, and ScrumGood technical communication in EnglishPreferred QualificationsExpertise in one or more of: Java, C#, Javascript/NodeJS, Ruby/JRuby, Golang, Scala, C++AWS: EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Aurora, SQSKubernetes and Amazon ECSMonitor solutions (e.g.: statsd/graphite, Prometheus, DataDog, New Relic, Dynatrace, etc)Logs aggregation: SplunkExperience handing gradual system refactoring is a plusBig data solution experience is a plus#LI-AK1Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
