Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Technical and Competitive Marketing, this role will continuously monitor the ever-evolving competitive landscape, develop highly differentiated, sharp competitive messaging and positioning and work cross-functionally across marketing and sales teams to ensure these teams are kept informed of major competitive developments and CrowdStrike products are effectively positioned relative to the competition. This role will align to the competitive landscape for the key and rapidly expanding security markets that CrowdStrike services—and the endpoint security landscape in particular. Importantly, you will be responsible for leading a world class competitive marketing team to ensure sharp and consistent competitive messaging across our product lines, while empowering the team to excel in their respective roles. What You’ll Do:Responsibility and Ownership: Take full ownership and accountability for the competitive marketing program, from defining goals and KPIs, to quarterly reporting and measuring its success, while maintaining accountability throughout.Demonstrated Capacity to Handle Multiple Projects: Proven track record of effectively managing and executing numerous competitive projects concurrently.Crafting Sharp Competitive Positioning and Messaging: Develop concise and compelling competitive positioning and messaging to serve as the cornerstone for internal and outbound competitive sales assets, encompassing web copy, presentations, competitive displacement campaigns, and press releases.Content Creation: Create essential sales tools to support the selling process, including battle cards, kill sheets, customer-facing competitive assets, feature and positioning comparisons, white papers, and more.Sales Enablement: Empower sales, marketing, and partner audiences to effectively position and differentiate CrowdStrike’s offerings from competitors across various solutions.Strategic Sales Support: Offer strategic support on competitive sales deals, leveraging expertise in competitor-specific issues.Competitive Analysis and Insight Sharing: Analyze competitive products and services, extracting insights and sharing them internally and externally through presentations and content. Leverage deep product and market expertise to clearly articulate how CrowdStrike addresses customer use cases better than the competition.Contribution to Product and Go-to-Market Decision Making: Partner with Sales, Product Management, other Competitive Intelligence professionals, and broader Marketing teams to contribute to critical product and go-to-market decision making.Win-Loss Analysis: Assist in regular win-loss analysis with sales enablement to enhance competitive conversion rates.What You’ll Need:Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.Minimum of 12-15 years of experience (or more) in the Cyber Security market, with a strong focus on endpoint security, identity protection, and cloud security. At least 5 years of relevant work experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will have experience in at least two of the following areas: product marketing, solutions marketing, competitive intelligence, technical marketing, sales engineering/pre-sales, or product management.Minimum of 5 years of experience in managing a team of 3 or more competitive professionals.Excellent writing skills: Demonstrated ability to craft sharp and concise competitive messaging.
