Software Engineer I

Position titleSoftware Engineer ILocation  Monterrey MexicoResponsibilities  Develop web components under BY general rules for designWork as part of an Agile team. Picking up sprint/backlog tasks, reporting on task progress and working collaboratively with the entire team to deliver stories and business value.Follow up on the progress of development and report to development manager. Support applications teams under BY to enable our component features and answer questions related to our repository.Document processes and requirements to support other development efforts by other team members. Ability to take new challenges and learn new technologies quickly as and when needed. Qualifications  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or demonstrated equivalent experience. 1 or more years of relevant work experience. Experience with Agile development (Scrum, XM or Kanban) Experience with DevOps methodologies Experience with back-end frameworks such as Node.js, Java/Spring and Python Experience with at least one of next front-end frameworks: ReactJS, Vue, Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, TypeScript Experience with developing web applications. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git Ability to work with teams globally. Travel – less than 10% of the time. Highly Desired Skills and Knowledge BS or MS degree in Computer Science. Experience with Functional programming. Experience with object-oriented programming. Familiarity with various design and architectural patterns. Familiarity with build tools such as npm, Yarn, Gradle and Pypi. Familiarity with continuous integration, continuous delivery. Experience with GitOps and pipeline automation Ability to pick up new technology quickly. Good analytical and communication skills. Communication & stakeholder management skills. Problem solving skills to develop quick yet sound solutions to resolve complex issues. Implemented automated testing platforms and unit tests.At Blue Yonder, we care about the wellbeing of our employees and those most important to them.
