Assay R&D is part of the Advanced Science, Core R&D team of Illumina. The successful candidate will carry out scientific R&D in the field of molecular biology and analytical chemistry to develop novel, best-in-class genomics products.Position Responsibilities: As a Scientist 2 of the Assay R&D team, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to execute the design and development of novel, cutting edge assays for Illumina sequencing and/or microarray platforms. You will leverage your experience in biochemistry, molecular biology, analytical chemistry or biochemical engineering to determine the critical parameters for reagents function, stability, and assay performance.To work as part of the Assay R&D (Singapore) team:ResponsibilitiesEngage in cross-functional collaboration within multi-disciplinary teams to accelerate the development of novel reagents and assays used across Illumina NGS and/or microarray platforms.Plan and execute various laboratory activities, communicate results and conclusions to aid in team decision-making.Maintain good lab and documentation practices.Upkeep of lab equipment, laboratory supplies and good housekeepingListed responsibilities are an essential, but not exhaustive list, of the usual duties associated with the position.
