The ecommerce and digital leaders at brand manufacturers and retailers need to be more than just experts in their domain. They are also often the cheerleaders, educators, and sometimes even the bullies who help their organizations understand the people, process, and technology transformations it takes to be successful in a digital-first omnichannel world.
We are looking for a talented researcher, journalist, and storyteller to create the narratives that will arm our customers and the industry with the forward-looking strategies, data, and ammunition they need. We call this work Brand Journalism.
We are the leader in a software category that is transforming how ecommerce and collaboration between brands and retailers around shopping experiences happen at scale. We have also led in defining and creating the strategies that it takes to succeed through two brands, Salsify and the Digital Shelf Institute (DSI). So we’re looking for an experienced writer/journalist that is a storyteller through both data and the human stories that are transforming an industry. Does this sound like you?
How You'll Make an Impact:
Partnering with the VP of Corporate Marketing, you will establish Salsify as the leader of the digital shelf movement and establish category leadership in Product Experience Management (PXM) through highly researched, investigative content that is incredibly valuable and unique. This industry-defining content is used across the go-to-market (GTM) teams to win the trust of prospects, customers, and partners.
Build a Center of Excellence for data, research, and industry POVs for Salsify and the DSI that prospects, customers, and partners can rely on to drive their digital shelf strategies forward
Build a productive case study program that sources and delivers a steady stream of referenceable case studies that bring our customers’ achievements to life through human storytelling and data
Continually source customer- and partner-facing teams for topics of importance and urgency to inform future editorial calendar opportunities
Arm GTM teams with assets and training needed to activate the content with prospects and customers
Provide strategy and communications support for high-value cross-functional projects
Act as an subject matter expert and content reviewer for the pieces and concepts created (includes content and campaign reviews as well as webinar hosting when applicable)
Measure and communicate impact of work through various KPIs

You'll Enjoy This Role If You Have:
Deep experience in writing long-form and short-form content pieces that teach new concepts and merge the elements of people, process, and technology
Experience in retail, ecommerce, or technology journalism/SaaS content creation
Experience activating content through social media and an established following on Linkedin in retail, ecommerce, or tech a plus
Kindness, a sense of humor, and a delight in spotlighting the work of smart human beings a plus
