Job Overview: We’re seeking an Operations Manager for the company’s Business Performance & Strategic Planning System to join our team.  At Coursera, we work in a highly dynamic industry, and we’ve experienced significant growth and change in the last few years. As we enter the next phase of our evolution - focused on continued growth through rigour and efficiency - we need a highly qualified Operations Manager to enable the company to drive results. From day one, the Ops Manager will have an immediate impact on our ability to understand and drive business performance, managing the key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) processes that anchor the company’s quarterly execution. In their first 2-3 quarters, they’ll “zoom out” and help shape the overall system that enables the company to define longer-range priorities, focus on the right work, streamline alignment and commitment, allocate the right resources and budget, and communicate objectives.  The ideal candidate has proven experience setting up systems that scale enterprise-wide, with a special focus on data and measurement to drive business results. Objectives of this role Enable the company to Measure > Monitor > Manage the business  Ensure business owners and operators have the data they need to analyze performance and define corrective actions  Change manage through systems transformations Support corrective action tracking and accountability Continuously improve the overarching Strategic Planning System   Responsibilities Execute on / manage key operational rhythms (e.g. KPIs, OKRs, BRs) Support the development of data infrastructure related to KPI and OKR management Enable key actors in the Strategic Planning System with the mindsets, muscles, behaviors, etc. needed to execute excellently Partner with Chiefs of Staff, GMs, and other functional leaders to track actions and ensure accountability Establish KPIs to measure the success of the system as a whole; proactively capture feedback, and partner with process owners (e.g. Finance, People, Operational Excellence) to continuously improve against established KPIs Required qualifications 7+ years in a business operations or related role Deep experience with data analysis and data infrastructure development Experience defining, planning, and driving top-level company transformations Demonstrated experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments Excellent communicator in written and verbal form Extremely versatile, dedicated to efficient productivity Preferred qualifications Master’s degree in Business Administration or similar field Experience as an operator / business owner (e.g. leading a team, owning a domain / outcome) Proven track record of data-driven approach to complex decision-making Proven success in a project management role Nimble business mind with a focus on developing creative solutions Consulting experience with a focus on operations management Compensation: Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base pay for this role is between $136,000 and $195,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and location.
