What will the next five years look like? What is certain is that each of these acquisitions to become an integral part of the Autodesk platform. As the Technical Architect for Platform M&A Integrations you will evaluate future acquisitions, provide technical guidance, and help ensure successful technical integration with the Autodesk platform.You will join our Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) group, where you will collaborate with architects, engineers, and leaders in key areas such as identity, licensing, security, and platform infrastructure. Your role is to offer crucial technical direction and insights for future acquisitions. With their assistance, you will be the representative for platform and technology integration within the deal team, engaging from due diligence to deal closure. Your involvement at every stage of the deal is vital to ensure that we can achieve each acquisition's specific value drivers. You will be critical to providing guidance based on a deep understanding of the Autodesk platform. This knowledge will enable you to contribute insights that facilitate integration of future acquisitions with our key platform services.This is a highly visible position and a great opportunity to gain exposure to all parts of the organization, accelerate the platform transformation, and ensure Autodesk is a trusted partner to all.You will report to the Director, Platform M&A Integrations in PSET. Preference for candidates on the West Coast, United states near one of our offices in Portland or San Francisco.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate Potential Acquisitions: Conduct technical assessments of potential acquisition targets, focusing on how their technology stacks align with Autodesk's platformProvide Technical Guidance: Offer expert advice on the technical aspects of M&A activities, from due diligence through to deal closureIdentify Platform Impacts to Target Acquisitions: Identify important integration points for the acquired technologies with the Autodesk platformCollaborate Across Teams: with multiple industry division product development teams, other members of our centralized platform team, and other teams ensuring their needs are represented during the acquisition processRepresent Platform Integration in Deal Teams: Act as the primary contact for all matters related to platform technology within the M&A deal teamGuide Through Every Stage of Acquisition: Active involvement throughout the acquisition process to ensure alignment with Autodesk's platform goalsContribute to Platform Services Evolution: Provide insights for the ongoing development and transformation of Autodesk's platform services making future acquisition integrations easierMinimum Qualifications8+ years of experience in software architecture, including familiarity with various design patterns, development frameworks, and data technologiesExperience conducting technical assessments preferably in an M&A contextDemonstrated ability working with diverse teams, including architects, engineers, product managers, and senior leadersAbility to analyze complex technical environments and challenges and provide guidance. Proactive identification of potential issues addressing them to prevent future problemsDemonstrated experience integrating diverse systems, applications, and platforms. This includes understanding various integration approaches and technologies, such as APIs, microservices, and desktop software architectureContinuous learning and staying abreast of the latest trends and advancements in technology. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $159,100 and $257,400. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
