This innovation is happening across our flagship products—AutoCAD, Revit, and Construction Cloud—and Forma, our new Industry Cloud.As a Software Developer on the AEC Solutions team, you will join a team of technologists to help build data pipelines to power our work in artificial intelligence, deep learning, generative AI, machine learning, reinforcement learning, information retrieval, and natural language processing. You will collaborate across organizations with a versatile group of AI Researchers, ML Engineers, Software Architects, and Experience Designers that are building cutting-edge foundation models and generative AI tools for the AEC industry.You will report to the Senior AI/ML Development Manager in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) Solutions Team.Location: We support hybrid work, and you work near our Boston, Massachusetts or Toronto, Canada offices.ResponsibilitiesHelp develop scalable, distributed systems and microservices in a production settingHelp develop scalable and resilient data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self-healing systems that power AI-based solutions for AEC workflowsContribute to the implementation of individual software components, with a high emphasis on quality, test-driven development, and sound software engineering practicesParticipate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development teamWrite unit, functional, regression tests for the code you create, and contribute to the test automation, continuous integration, and deployment processes together with everyone else in the development team Minimum QualificationsBS or MS in Computer Science or related technical field2+ years of software engineering experienceExperience writing code in Java or PythonBasic understanding of data ingestion and processing pipelines, monitoring and self-healing systemsExperience with serverless and managed Amazon Web Services including Lambdas, AWS Step, and SQSFamiliarity with Data Lake or Warehouses, ETLsExperience with microservices and RESTful web servicesUnderstanding of modern software practices including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Infrastructure-as-CodeExperience with Scrum and Agile development processes and methodologies Preferred QualificationsFamiliarity with AWS IAM to develop secure solutions, specifically with resource access policies and IAM rolesFamiliarity with AWS infrastructure as code solutions, such as CDK or Cloud FormationExperience in the AEC industry, Autodesk products such as Revit, and AEC data schemas and standardsThe Ideal CandidateCan easily collaborate with other members of an Agile team to get products and components developed and completedIs constantly striving to learn new technologies and methodologiesIs adaptable, customer-focused, and seek new ways to solve hard problems#LI-JK3Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
