We are hiring a rock-star software engineer to join our team to work on our recently re-launched, modern, Re-imagined Adobe Captivate. Adobe Captivate has been the most awarded rapid e-learning authoring desktop tool for years. We are now faced with the exciting challenge of re-architecting the product from the ground up to suit new gen user workflows and to make Captivate the best e-learning tool in the world. As a part of this team, you will get a chance to collaborate and work across all functions of product development. You must be that individual who is highly engaged, motivated, and excels at critical thinking and problem-solving! What you need to succeed 8+ years of experience in object oriented software development (preferably C++) with a good grasp on Web and Cloud technologies. Hands-on experience in designing & developing complex desktop or backend software applications using Object oriented paradigms. Proficiency in data structures and algorithms, Strong understanding of OS concepts like Synchronization, Process/Thread management, memory management. Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills using C++ debuggers – GDB, Xcode, Visual studio tools, Valgrind etc. Experience with Application development on different platforms like Windows and Macintosh. Strong understanding of Object oriented techniques, strong system design skills High quality coding and design competencies setting up example for other to emulate Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong technical leadership skills Familiarity with web technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node JS, RESTful APIs. What you’ll do Lead the technical design along with implementation strategy for major systems & components of the Adobe Captivate backend Lead the architecture and technology choices for the major systems/components Design, build and deploy the products with very high quality Bring more innovation in the current system to bring more robustness, ease, and convenience Ability to articulate the design and code choices to cross functional teams Ability to mentor and guide a high performing team Reviewing and providing feedback on features, technology, architecture, designs, time & budget estimates, and test strategies Managing projects, mitigating risks & creative problem solving Developing and evolving engineering and business processes to optimize team efficiency Partner with other teams across Adobe for achieving common goals.
