The role's responsibilities include the support of applications and services that are used for data platforms, data visualization and reporting, and workload orchestration; whilst ensuring high levels of service quality, availability, and solving complex technical problems. The role's responsibilities also includes performing application upgrades and maintenance, end-user support , business requirements gathering, knowledge of feature/change process, and application testing and validation. Responsibilities:Work with specifications to design, implement, and maintain high availability application services to provide users with the tools and data needed to do their jobs more effectivelyHelp maintain the integrity, performance, security, and availability of multiple analytic application platforms and environments, which includes, Tableau, Cognos Analytics, Planning Analytics, and Denodo. Help support UAT readiness and during UAT for application upgradeParticipate in performing RCA (root cause analysis) by providing analysis information, identifying preventative actions that can be taken, and implementing alerts and monitoring that proactively identify items to prevent problem recurrence. Automate tasks and processes via scripting - such as python, powershell, batch, etc. Familiar with authentication gateways, such as OAuth for SnowflakeDocumentation of processes, procedures, and policies. Perform upkeep of documentation, FAQ, and Knowledge BaseWork with cross-site and cross-functional teams to collaborate with development teams operations, and infrastructure teams on server, network, and Security team, Finance, Manufacturing, and collaborate Installs acceleration and monitoring tools for new applications and environments as needed. Handle work requests and problem tickets with JIRA, ServiceNow, Control-M, CheckMK, PagerDuty and follow up on requests, and escalate/track critical issues. Must be available to work during quarterly maintenance window Provide after-hours on-call support on a rotating basisRequirements:The candidate must have 5+ years of hands-on experience administering and supporting data and analytics application platforms such as Tableau, Cognos Analytics, Planning Analytics, HVR, and dbt core/cloud5+ years coding and automation experience in various languages - Python, JavaScript, Shell Exceptional UNIX system administration, ability to troubleshoot system and application utilizationExpertise in observability and monitoring of applications and services, and networks at scaleExpertise in job scheduling and workflow automation systems like Control-MExceptional knowledge of application hosting on AWS Solid ability to troubleshoot and analyze performance issues and determine appropriate changes that can improve performance including making recommendations.
