Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proven Python coding skills Some experience designing robust components that scale Motivation to learn and incorporate new technologies into your work Strong attention to detail; you are not afraid of manually verifying your work before delivering Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You are resilient in a fast pace environment, and comfortable juggling between different projects with short term deliveries Description Description Our team works in close interaction with R&D, infrastructure and client teams, as well as with other groups and other functions across Apple (legal, privacy) and externally. This position focuses on designing and implementing flexible data pipelines and data tools based on advanced computer vision technology, NLP and humans in the loop. RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE: - design consistent and robust data models - design and implement data pipelines to process data at scale - find creative ways to automate data flows, or build self service tooling that enable PMs to iterate faster - preprocess, transform and clean data in multiple domains (tabular, image, video, text, etc...) and at scale - interact with ML models to optimize human-in-the-loop workflows - support the day-to-day operations of the data team Education & Experience Education & Experience Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements * Prior experience in Machine Learning (eg familiarity with model training) is desired * Prior experience in either NLP, or Computer Vision is desired * Prior knowledge of Airflow or similar orchestration framework is desired * Prior knowledge of SQL, Docker, Kubernetes, Spark is desired * Experience designing and building web UIs is desired Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $55.82 and $84.09/hr, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
