Proofpoint is looking for a self-starting, responsible, mature, highly-motivated renewal sales account manager. This person must be able to work well with a team of sales account executives, sales engineers and support management to ensure the satisfaction of our existing customer base and secure their subscriptions.The Renewal Account Manager will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at senior levels, as well as with technical staff within the traditional IT organization. The successful candidate will have sound sales experience and excellent business acumen blended with strong interpersonal and presentational skills.Job RequirementsThis is a Hybrid role based in the Sunnyvale, CA office (3 days)Driving the qualification, quoting, and Salesforce processes to bring renewals to a closeEstablishing and maintaining strong business relationships at the executive levelWorking cross functionally with various internal teams such as Account Managers, Sales Engineers, Channel, Customer Success Managers, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, Operations, and Professional ServicesProactively identify customer issues, work with the larger Proofpoint team to resolve themForecast daily, monthly, quarterly accurately via Salesforce and excelMust have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Proofpoint’s valueMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to coordinate Proofpoint resources to execute a complex sales strategyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office and web conferencing toolsAbility to use Salesforce.com and other online tools effectivelyWhy Proofpoint:Protecting people is at the heart of our award-winning lineup of cybersecurity solutions, and the people who work here are the key to our success.  We’re a customer-focused and a driven-to-win organization with leading-edge products.
