Smartsheet is seeking someone to become part of the Talent Development Team as a Talent Development Partner. This person takes a consultative approach to identifying training gaps and needs and learning and development opportunities together with the business stakeholders. This individual will work closely with cross-functional partners and external vendors as well as be accountable for implementation of learning and development programs including curriculum design & development, and classroom and online facilitation, to maximize team member performance and productivity, as well as professional effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have an ability to balance strategic thinking, learning theories and practice, problem solving, critical thinking, and tactical instructional design expertise and execution. This role is remote-eligible and will report to the Director, Talent Development located in Washington state.   You Will: Design, develop, and deliver: webinars, e-learning, instructor-led, virtual classroom, and blended learning solutions to leaders and individual contributors company-wide  Using instructional design strategies and frameworks, perform needs analysis, assess requirements, and recommend effective learning strategies for building skills and capabilities Work with internal subject matter experts and external vendors (if applicable) to create effective learning solutions Create learning and performance-support materials to enhance the effectiveness of the learning experience (e.g., job aids, handouts, participant and facilitator guides) Be a solutions-oriented partner to stakeholders while concurrently managing stakeholder expectations, project scope, and project prioritization Serve as a subject matter expert for the team on how to effectively consult with stakeholders and lead strategic engagements Demonstrate strong ability to engage with and target communications for both leadership/management on strategy/key insights & summaries Demonstrate attention to detail in executing and reviewing work products of team members and vendor partners to ensure the highest quality deliverables, that meet our stakeholders’ needs, adhere to our learning standards, within approved timelines and budget while collaborating with a variety of stakeholders on execution Use learning management systems to create automated assignments, assessments, evaluations, and reporting to track the effectiveness of L&D Training Programs/Initiatives Develop pre and post-course assessments to measure knowledge transfer You Have: 5+ years’ experience in a corporate training environment Bachelor’s degree or equivalent vocational accreditation in instructional design, Learning & Development or related field OR relevant experience Excellence in classroom facilitation, especially delivering soft skills training Experience with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles Certifications in Situational Leadership, Hogan Assessments, and/or Insights Discovery highly desirable Experience with Learning Management Systems and eLearning software, preferably Articulate/Rise/Storyline Real passion for developing people and organizations to fulfill their potential Some travel may be required Perks & Benefits: HSA, 100% employer-paid premiums, or buy-up medical/vision and dental coverage options for full-time employees Equity - Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for eligible roles Lucrative Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount) 401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay) Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity Flexible Time Away Program, plus Incidental Sick Leave US employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plans US employees receive 12 paid holidays per year Up to 24 weeks of Parental Leave Personal paid Volunteer Day to support our community Opportunities for professional growth and development including access to LinkedIn Learning online courses Company Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet account Teleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)  Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location.
