About the role We are looking for a highly-driven Buyer/Planner to join our team and ensure operational success of our supply chain organization. In this role, you'll oversee material acquisition, supplier selection, and contract negotiation for timely production. You'll optimize inventory, resolve supply chain issues, and evaluate supplier performance. Collaborating across teams, you'll manage new product introductions, report KPIs and drive efficiency improvements. What You’ll Do Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely acquisition of materials, components, and services required for production and operations Analyze demand forecasts, inventory levels, and production schedules to determine material requirements and optimize inventory levels Source, select and negotiate with suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and delivery time Place purchase orders and monitor order status to ensure on-time delivery and fulfillment of customer requirements Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues related to delivery delays, quality, and supply shortages Maintain accurate records of purchasing activities, supplier contracts, and inventory levels using ERP or MRP systems Track supplier performance using KPIs and implement improvement plans to enhance supplier relationships and performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, logistics and accounting to support procurement and inventory management activities Manage the procurement process for new product introductions, working closely with engineering and product development teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials and components Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts, physical inventory audits, and inventory optimization initiatives You Have a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field Have proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or in a supply chain management role, preferably in a manufacturing environment Have strong analytical skills and are able to interpret data, analyze trends, and make data-driven decisions Have excellent negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers Have experience using ERP or MRP systems for procurement and inventory management Have an understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and supplier management best practices Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders Are able to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have Experience in the machine learning or computer hardware industry.
