The AIML Program team is seeking a Staff QA Engineer to help us ensure that our products, like Siri, are rock-solid and user-focused. We're looking for critical thinkers who would like to be part of ensuring we exceed our customer expectations. Think beyond what features are supposed to do and creatively seek ways to measure the qualitative experiences. You will ultimately be responsible for understanding how well our products work, and how they'll be experienced by our customers. We are a nimble, fast-paced team that relies heavily on a tight relationship between Engineering, Program Management and Quality Engineering. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications An enthusiasm for customer-focused design and high-quality technology Proven experience in Software Quality Assurance with demonstrated excellence in hands-on, creative testing Deep experience with multimodal inputs: speech / gaze / body position Experience with real world evaluation of large statistical or machine learned systems. Programming skills in Python and SQL Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with cross-functional teams At ease and adaptable in a dynamic and informal atmosphere Experience with developing test strategies, including: writing test plans, test cases, custom tools, and testing architectures. Excellent communication skills are a requirement due to the high level of interaction with engineering teams, management, and other organizations within Apple Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail An excitement for Siri, virtual assistants, and the experiences they enable Description Description In this position you will need to be self-motivated with strong technical and interpersonal skills. Day to day tasks will involve hands-on adversarial testing of multimodal attention systems and how they impact overall usability. Your responsibilities will include design and implementation of test plans and test cases, risk analysis, cross-functional testing coordination, and integration testing across the system. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,500.00 and $252,700.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
