Summary Posted: Feb 14, 2024 Weekly Hours: 5 Role Number: 200538443 The Global Fixed Asset team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead a team of Fixed Asset Accountants in AMR, setting both team and individual goals to ensure Apple’s fixed assets are recorded and reported in line with US and local GAAP.
In addition, the successful individual will play an integral role in driving global changes across APAC, AMR, EMEIA & GC, enabling global alignment of fixed asset processes and drive further opportunities for scale, efficiency, and automation.
This is a key role in a dynamic environment with the potential for the role to develop further with additional responsibilities in line with business requirements. The Fixed asset team works closely with Apple’s key business partners & finance teams including, Apple Retail, Manufacturing and Operations, Apple Music, TV, IS&T, IS&S, Corporate Accounting, R&D, AppleCare, Corporate Tax as well as being part of the Global Business Solutions (GBS) organization.

Strong SAP knowledge Excellent interpersonal skills Qualified Accountant Description Description • Manage a team of fixed asset accountants to ensure the team are trained and motivated to perform their roles to the highest standards.
• Manage any associated projects and be accountable for the integration of associated changes into the day-to-day fixed asset processes.
• Coach, mentor and develop team members, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities.
• Maintains excellent quality and high customer service standards; analyzing and resolving customer problems; identifying trends; recommending system improvements.
• Empower the team to take responsibility for their jobs and goals. Delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback.
• Develop and implement objectives for the team in line with business needs
• Instill and safeguard a strong focus on standardization across all processes.
• Deputize and provide assistance when required to management, including hiring and training, and keeps management updated on team performance.
• Support and manage any audit requests.
• Maintain Fixed Asset ledgers for Local & USGAAP EMEIA entities.
• Manage the fixed assets subledger and its associated movements including acquisitions, retirements, impairments, intercompany transfers, depreciation runs etc. Ensure alignment with global policies and accounting standards.
• Manager and co-ordinate the physical inventory count with the affiliate partners.
• Complete and co-ordinate month end, quarter end and year end closing activities in respect of the timing and in accordance with global procedures.
