Summary Posted: Feb 15, 2024 Weekly Hours: 40 Role Number: 200537901 The Infrastructure System Engineering SAP team is looking for Linux systems and S/W Engineer to help redesign one of the largest SAP deployments in the world. We are seeking an upbeat and hard-working engineer to design, build tools and support large scale Linux systems. As a member of our fast-paced group, you will have the unique opportunity to be an early contributor to this redesign of the SAP environment within IS&T at Apple. In addition, you will enjoy using technology to automate infrastructure and optimize outcomes, implementing continuous integration and deployment in a dynamic, challenging, fast paced environment! Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Strong experience in supporting and automating large scale Linux infrastructure systems. Strong Linux experience, with SuSE, Redhat, AIX, etc… Good debugging skills a must. Familiarity with kernel debugging and system performance Automation and configuration management skills using Puppet and Ansible. Experience with upgrade/patching of OS, microcode, and firmware Familiar with HPE DL Proliant, SuperDome and IBM Power hardware Extensive experience in system administration including LVM work, solving network and storage issues. Extensive experience in installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting clustering software (SUSE HA, HACMP, and Service Guard) Description Description We’re looking for someone with extraordinary ownership and a strong practical focus to provide leadership in implementing a secure, robust and highly available SAP environment. Secondary focus will be developing interfaces in to the central automation pipeline as well as between the pipeline of other IS&T entities. You will work closely with system engineers throughout the hardware lifecycle in successfully delivering outstanding secure and large scalable systems. Implement push button deployment at scale with zero downtime. You'll be excited to help redesign SAP environments from networking solutions, virtualization, scalability, storage solutions, and hardware opportunities.
