Principal Software Product ManagerDescription -The Workforce Experience Product Team is seeking a forward thinking, outcome-driven, tech-savvy individual who is passionate about driving fast growth to solutions that address real-world customer issues at scale through software, data analytics, services, and stellar customer experiences. This senior-level position is ideal for a candidate who is comfortable working with cross-functional teams to collaborate on deliverables such as the strategic product roadmap, as well as working with the team to develop a tactical execution plan for delivering on that strategy.  This position requires deep understanding of software product management processes who is also an adept negotiator able to think outside of the box to get things done.   You will contribute to the development and implementation of innovative principles that affect the organization’s long-term goals and objectives impacting millions of users worldwide. The ideal candidate employs a growth mindset philosophy and active listening techniques to be sure that you are fostering growth and meeting the needs of your team.  Key ResponsibilitiesWork with your leadership to understand strategic intent and define strategy to achieve aggressive goals.Work with your team to define schedule, requirements, resource plans, integration plans, prioritize initiatives, and proactively identify/address potential setbacks.Work with engineering management to prioritize development activities to deliver on the product roadmap in a fast-paced environment.Balance the business needs with technical constraints by building deep subject matter expertise for your team’s.Maintain the team's focus on strategy and goal-oriented results when tackling complex problems.Look for training opportunities that will allow members of your team to grow outside of just their day-to-day activities.Provide mentorship opportunities to junior team members to ensure they have the tools they need to be successful in their role.Provide regular updates about program progress, issues, and risks to key stakeholders.Comfortable with hands-on, day-to-day problem solving, implementing quick and effective action plans to meet short-term priorities and emerging opportunities.Prioritize requests from various stakeholders by ranking them against strategic goals and initiatives. Able to work with your team to understand how best to balance competing initiatives.Ensure that implementation of features meets established quality standards, functional requirements and UX guidelines.Influence’s decision making and problem solving across teams.Knowledge and Skills: Excellent collaboration, consensus-building, and conflict resolution skillsExcellent interpersonal and project management skills; ability to work across in person as well as virtual team environments.Excellent written/verbal communications skills. Comfortable presenting to all levels of management and customers.Experience with agile software development methodologies.Passion for delivering customer-centric outcomes.  Demonstrable experience developing and shipping software, ideally both as an individual and in an enterprise setting. Experience with data visualization and presenting data in a clear and simple manner.Hands-on technical skills with the inquisitiveness to learn products, work with them, and provide recommendations to drive continuous improvement.Demonstrates a work style that emphasizes a disciplined and organized approach to defining products, prioritizing activities, and driving execution.Able to work independently yet collaborate cross-functionally in a global and multicultural environmentCommunicates complex concepts effectively to development teams.Flexible thinker who is open to new, and possibly unorthodox, ways of solving a problem.Fosters growth by pushing team members outside of their comfort zone while ensuring that they have the tools they need to be successful.Able to manage multiple work streams effectively and provide timely updates to leadership.Comfortable and effective working in new areas that require experimentation and rapid problem solving.Able to navigate through ambiguity and act decisively to realize team goals. Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent experience.Typically, 10+ years Product and Project/Program Management experience.Experience using Azure DevOps or Jira.
