Marketing Content Proofreader/EditorJob SummaryThe proofreader/editor is responsible for reviewing and correcting written content to ensure accuracy, clarity and adherence to established guidelines. The role also maintains tools that support our team and stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesProofreading: Carefully review written content, including white papers, blog posts, press releases, marketing materials and other assets, to identify and correct errors in grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax and trademark useEditing: Enhance the clarity, coherence and overall quality of written content by revising sentences, paragraphs and structure as necessary and to be brand-compliant, while maintaining the author's intended meaningFact-checking: Verify the accuracy of information, statistics and references used in the content, ensuring that all claims are supported by reliable sources and are properly citedStyle Adherence: Ensure consistency in style, tone, messaging and formatting, following the established Equinix Style Guide, which is primarily based on the AP StylebookCollaboration: Collaborate with writers, content creators and other team members to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improving the clarity, flow and impact of their workQuality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of final drafts to ensure all corrections have been made and that the content meets the required standardsTime Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentContinuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest messaging, grammar rules, inclusivity guidance and industry-specific terminology to maintain a high level of expertiseOwn and manage quarterly metrics update process, engaging with stakeholders, including Investor Relations, to ensure approved metrics are properly incorporated into contentAssist Legal in documenting trademark use.
