Senior GL Accountant

Calix provides the cloud, software platforms, systems and services required for communications service providers to simplify their businesses, excite their subscribers and grow their value.Calix is seeking a temporary Sr. GL Accountant to join the Finance team. This contract position will play a lead role in month-end and quarter-end close process, International entities, and the Intercompany elimination processes. The position will interface with the company’s Financial Planning and Analysis group, Accounts Payable, and other Management groups. In addition, this position will work on deliverables for Quarter, Year-end and Sox Audits, as well as, on ad-hoc analysis and various projects that support the accounting department.Job Description:General Ledger responsibilities including, but not limited to Prepaids, Accruals, Consolidations and FX rates.Accounting for international subsidiaries – India and UK.Reviewing accounting packages and recons for international subsidiaries.Responsible for Month-end, Quarter-end and Year-end close procedures.Prepare Journal entries and account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts.Work cross functionally with and support business partners by providing financial insights and relevant reporting.Assist in process improvement projectsProvide support for the preparation of the 10Q and 10K reports, including assisting SEC team in preparing support schedules.Ensure SOX compliance by monitoring accounting policies, procedures and internal control.Research and prepare journal entries to record transactions in compliance with GAAPJob Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance requiredCPA a plusExcellent Verbal and written communication skillsRelevant progressive experienceDetailed understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysisOracle Cloud experience a plusWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office ApplicationsAbility to communicate in small and medium groups comfortablyDetail orientedCompensation will vary based on geographical location (see below) within the United States.
