Finance Manager - License Management

Scope:To optimize software licenses, ensuring usage compliance, and supporting efficient financial forecast and contract renewal processes for various software assetsWhat you’ll do:License Consumption Analysis: Monitor and analyze software license usage to align with contractual commitments and the financial forecast process.Collaborate with Operations, PD & IT teams to collect data on software consumption, usage patterns and license entitlements.True-Up Processes: Facilitate true-up processes by reconciling actual software usage against existing license agreements in line with yearly/quarterly financial targets.Identify and communicate any gaps or overages in license consumption to relevant stakeholders.Contract Renewal Support: Assist in the contract renewal process by providing accurate and up-to-date information on license usage.Collaborate with vendors and procurement teams to negotiate favorable terms during renewals.Setting New Targets: Work with IT and business units to understand future software needs and set new financial targets for license renewals.Develop recommendations for optimizing software license agreements based on usage patterns and business requirements.Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of software license agreements, renewals, and true-up activities.Generate regular reports on license consumption, compliance status, and renewal timelines.Vendor Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with software vendors.Stay informed about changes in licensing models and communicate their impact on the organization.What we are looking for:Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, IT, or related field with 10 to 12 years’ experience in software license management or a related field.Familiarity with licensing models for SQL, Windows, Oracle, Splunk, and other relevant software.Proficiency in using license management tools and systems. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex license agreements.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
