Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Experience and/or education must include: 3D design software for product architecture designed through computer aided drafting (CAD), Solidworks, Pro/Engineer or NX Precision manufacturing methods Statistical tolerance analysis Simulation and analysis methods such as FEA and CFD Manufacturing techniques including injection-molding, machining, die-cutting and materials such as plastics, metals. Mechanical engineering fundamentals: properties of materials, solid mechanics, beam statics, and thermodynamics. Description Description APPLE INC has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Design next generation displays for iPhones, Apple Watch and iPods. Develop cutting-edge display technologies, processes, components, and modules. Drive the display shape based on optical, electrical, assembly process, and space constraints. Create and refine technologies to improve the design, construction, and reliability of displays. Provide 2D and 3D documentation for display assemblies and components. Define mechanical and performance requirements for fit, quality, and reliability. Audit factories to review assembly process, integration, and handling of displays and components at all stages to maintain quality and achieve high assembly yield. Perform failure analysis and create detailed reports to drive solid corrective actions. Communicate data and changes to product design, reliability, and senior management groups. Identify open mechanical design issues and drive them to closure in a timely fashion. Deliver the necessary design documents and data for engineering builds and initial ramp. Address issues from initial ramps and field returns. International travel required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $159,705 - $199,500/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
