The responsibilities of this role are part of the foundation for attaining and maintaining our customers' trust to build their business around Autodesk's commercial offerings.As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer, you were serve as a primary point responsible for building the SRE practice that is focused on the health, availability, performance, and capacity of one or more of our production services. You will also partner with development teams through the stages of development, to ensure systems are designed with both function and scalability in mind. You will be passionate about operations and have an "Automation first" mindset to lead scale.You will report to a Software Development Manager in San Francisco, CA.You will operate in a hybrid work model.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with our engineering teams to improve performance and reliability for new feature developmentDesign, write, document, test, and deliver software to improve product availability, scalability, and performanceBuild and maintain the site reliability practices across the organizationWork with infrastructure and internal tools to operate, maintain, and optimize highly available production systemsCoordinate and perform major upgrades with zero downtimeCreate tools to automate requests made of your team instead of treating each request as a manual taskParticipate in an on-call rotation alongside development teamsKeep supported services compliant with the company and regulatory requirements including but not limited to security, privacy, SOC-2, and FedRAMPImplement and improve monitoring an alertingBuild, automate, and improve observability dashboards to provide better visibility in the operational aspects of the systemsMinimum Qualifications4+ years of production level Site Reliability EngineeringCommercial cloud experience building and maintaining AWS and/or Azure offerings for large scale enterprisesHands-on scripting experience in at least one scripting language such as Python, Node.js, or TypeScriptExperience working with containerized applications and DockerExperience with CI/CD tools such as JenkinsExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformPreferred QualificationsExpertise building and maintaining relational databases such as MySQLStrong experience with AWS services such as Aurora/RDS, ECS/Fargate, IAM, DynamoDBExperience with networking and security technologies such as ALBs, Route 53, and Security GroupsExperience with observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Splunk, Prometheus, and GrafanaExperience with multi-repo GIT code bases, REST-based web services, testing frameworks such as Blazemeter, shell scripts, automated CI/CD pipelinesExperience with Agile software development practices#LI-POSTLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $110,300 and $190,300. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range.
