While we have a Finance Director to oversee operations and the accounting department, the addition of a senior accountant is crucial to ensure the smooth handling of our daily financial activities.Job DescriptionPerform various clerical duties in A/R, A/P, etc.Allocate expenditures to correct accounts Post journal entries to general ledgerAssist with month/year-end closing cyclesReconcile accountsBalance bank statementsPrepare financial reports for the finance leader to reviewProof accounting reports for clerical accuracyFamiliarity with filing VAT returns in the UK and Netherlands would be a significant asset.QualificationsThorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and proceduresExcellent organizations skills and attention to detailAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteFamiliarity with QuickBooks and XeroStrong ability to multitaskAt least seven years of working experience in AccountingHaving European accounting work experience will be highly recommended.
