Key Qualifications Key Qualifications National Interpreter Certification (NIC) Minimum 5 years ASL interpreting experience at the commercial level, tech industry experience preferred The ability to quickly learn new terms and technical jargon Demonstrable experience with interpreting both remotely and in-person Demonstrable experience with interpreting for confidential topics Demonstrable experience with interpreting for both live and recorded content Description Description Apple is looking for an American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter to support our team members. You will be a skilled and accomplished interpreter, with experience in commercial environments, technical jargon and confidential topics. You will be well presented, and confident in front of the camera. You will be able to adjust your style to best represent the person you are interpreting on behalf of. You will be a self-starter, with strong scheduling skills and time management. You will also have input into Apple’s various sign language programs, and so should have a strong understanding of Deaf culture and the interpreting industry, as well as having an innovative flair. You will be a strong collaborator with a passion for accessibility.
- Providing interpreting services both remotely and in-person in our Cupertino locations
- Providing interpreting services for small meetings, large presentations, and potentially customer-facing content
- Scheduling and delivering services
- Influencing and supporting sign language initiatives across Apple
- Identifying and driving opportunities for scalable solutions Education & Experience Education & Experience Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $131,300.00 and $197,400.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
