Senior Manufacturing Business Partner ManagerDescription -What a Senior Manufacturing Business Partner (Strategic Procurement & Escalation Management) does at HP:Manages all aspects of the global engineering relationship with one or more large key suppliers of external hardware, components, materials, or services for the development and manufacturing of a product or service line.Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced supplier relationships for alignment with strategy roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into procurement and development architecture.Reviews and evaluates supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards; provides tangible feedback based on results to improve product quality and mitigate risk of product failure.Leverages recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced suppliers, manufacturing, and development partners, and industry standards groups.Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members to set an example of procurement engineering design and development innovation and excellence.Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent.Typically 10+ years experience.Experience designing and developing engineering tools and software packages to test, design, and evaluate products and manufacturing processes.Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.Conducting reviews of material specifications and hardware and electrical component design and manufacturing processes.Evaluating and selecting forms of empirical analysis, modeling and testing methodologies to validate product designs and specifications.History of innovation with examples of developing new relationships, technologies, and practices with external suppliers.Ability to effectively communicate procurement architectures, plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at business unit and executive levels.#Li-PostJob -EngineeringSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Thailand)Travel -Not SpecifiedRelocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
