Electrical/Mechanical TechnicianStatus: Non-Exempt (hourly) Position SummaryThe Electrical/Mechanical Technician's primary objective is to provide mechanical and electrical support to ensure efficiency and quality for all equipment required for manufacturing. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a thorough knowledge of energy electrical systems. The Electrical/Mechanical Technician must be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of a fast-paced manufactering environment.Core Duties and ResponsibilitiesComplies with all company safety rules and procedures. Monitors and reacts in a timely manner to routine demand maintenance requirements. Participates in routine Preventive/Predictable Maintenance. Troubleshoots equipment stoppages and reacts accordingly. Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment. Assists with manufacturing during product change-over. Plans, assists, documents, and implements process improvement techniques and devices. Utilizes machining, electrical, and mechanical trade skills to complete daily tasks. Communicates with production and other various customers as needed. Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision. Follow all established standard operating procedures. Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary. Perform other tasks assigned by management.Education and Experience Formal training and practical experience in an industrial setting as a Maintenance Technician. Associates degree in applied technology in industrial/manufacturing or equivalent experience Hands-on experience in an industrial setting Experience with high Vacuum Systems, Leak Detection, and automated material handling utilizing 480vac VFD’s, and PLC control logic troubleshootingCompetencies High mechanical & Electrical aptitude Ability to work with minimal supervision on various optimization projects from conception to completion. Ability to produce technical reports and update drawings. Light machining and welding skills Light fabrication skills Good verbal and written communication skills Able to interpret and produce mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics Physical Requirements / Other Pertinent Job InformationMust be able to bring in their own Handtools. This position requires the team member to work with machinery in an environment where there may be regular exposure to chemicals, noise from machinery, dust, fumes, and variable temperatures. Other working conditions may include working long hours and flexible shifts, including holidays. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.; bending, squatting, climbing ladders and stairs are required.
