This is our life’s work, to amplify human inventiveness and intelligence.We are seeking an innovative Senior CAD Engineer to help drive efficiency in timing and physical design closure for the world's leading GPUs and SoCs with particular emphasis on large scale data analysis, modeling, and visualization. Together, we will build sophisticated tools that can demystify the most complex issues faced in backend design of chips for extreme computing in the latest process nodes.What you will be doing:Working with timing sign-off designers to understand major productivity bottlenecks in domains ranging netlist & RTL analysis, floorplan, timing constraints, and timing signoff.Inventing software that can automatically pinpoint timing concerns and opportunities to improve designer productivity. Automating data analysis and building intuitive data presentation techniques to promote designer efficiency.Research and innovate scalable methods of VLSI data gathering, analysis and visualization tailormade to enable NVIDIA's leading performance, power, area, schedule, and yield targets.Partnering closely with silicon bring up, advance technology group, timing sign-off team to understand Silicon data better and develop software to map silicon data to pre-silicon STA.Develop tools, and methodologies to predict and improve silicon performance and reliability beyond what industry standard tools can offer alone.What we need to see:Master’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering or equivalent work experienceAt least 3+ years work experience in STA CAD domain.Deep understanding of backend design process, especially advanced STA and timing closure.Expertise in coding - C++, Python, data visualization librariesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWays to stand out from the crowd:Expertise in developing VLSI backend productivity improvement tools.With competitive salaries and a generous benefits package, NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
