Stubb's - Staff Accountant

Job Summary:THE ROLE:  We are seeking a Staff Accountant to work in project, balance sheet, and general ledger accounting for multiple events, prepare financial statements, and assist in other accounting functions within the department as needed. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:•Preparing artist payments to be sent (via Wire/ACH/Check)•Manage payment and reporting of music license dues•Month end close; assist in preparation of P&L, journal entries, and financial statements•Work with Accounting Staff to ensure all checks/wires are entered and reconciled monthly•Work with AP/AR Specialists to ensure that all receivables, receipts, and payable items are processed and recorded accurately and timely•Preparation and payment of all management expense cards• Maintain accounting files; provide audit support as needed, ensure that files comply with all company policies and procedures•Perform other accounting functions as assigned  REQUIREMENTS:•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting•2+ years accounting experience•Exceptional Microsoft Office skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel•Oracle experience (preferred)•Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to take direction and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment•Self-motivated•Strong analytical/problem solving skills•A positive attitude•Flexibility in work hours and availability, especially during major projects
